The mission of the Marine Corps League and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
For "Big Ticket" items or to fit the particular needs of the recipients, purchases are made by the Marine Corps League from the "Toys for Tots" funds. Checks should be made payable to "Toys for Tots." All donations are used exclusively for the youngsters needs. The Marine Corps League is a 501(c)4 Charitable Organization. Donations are recognized as tax deductible for tax purposes.
"The Marine Corps League, in Westchester, has been involved in the "Toys for Tots" program since the mid 60's. Making a difference in a child's life has had immeasurable rewards for those of us involved in this all volunteer effort, the donors, the volunteers and the recipient organizations. The affected age groups is from newborn through 18 and , as I call it, the used, abused and forgotten children of our communities. Each individual's contribution does make a difference."
